How We Research
Every guide on QuaintQuill starts with one question: will this product work for the person who is shopping for it? For our puzzle table and board guides, that means your puzzle size, your room and how you like to sit while you work.
Here is how we answer it.
1. We start with your puzzles and your space
A 500-piece puzzle and a 2,000-piece puzzle need very different surfaces. We check the surface size against the finished puzzle, then the table or board against your room.
When your space limits the choice, we say what to measure.
2. We compare specs and features
We look at surface size, table or board height, legs and wheels, folding or tilting parts, drawers, covers and what the surface is made of.
ALL4JIG, Becko and Bits and Pieces describe their sizes and materials in their own words, so we name the brand for every claim. We also note the warranty terms the maker lists.
3. We look at buyer feedback
We read through what buyers report after using a puzzle table or board. We look for patterns, like warped surfaces, wobbly legs, drawers that stick or sizes that run smaller than the name says.
One angry review doesn't sink a product. A pattern does.
4. We score each product
Our score weighs specs, features and buyer feedback against what you're shopping for. A table that suits a 2,000-piece puzzle may score lower in a guide written for small spaces.
Scores spread out on purpose. A 10 is rare.
5. We keep pages up to date
Products change, and some disappear from stores. Puzzle tables and boards are sold by the puzzle size they hold, and those sizes vary, so we check each model's measurements and only link new units.
We also look for recall notices before we link a model. When we update a guide, the "Updated on" date at the top changes with it.
What our picks are not
Our picks are research, not lab tests. We don't claim to have used every puzzle table or board we cover.
Our guides don't replace the maker's instructions. Follow them for assembly, weight limits and care, and check that legs and wheel locks are firm before you load a puzzle.
